Water and Fuel Consumption Log Template

A simple template for anyone who wants to start measuring today, before any system is installed. One page to print and hang at the pump, with columns for date, opening and closing meter readings, running hours, litres of fuel, and a short note on irrigation or rainfall.

It comes with a calculation sheet that turns those entries into three numbers: daily consumption in cubic metres, the pump's real discharge rate, and the cost per cubic metre in EGP. Those three are all that is needed to appraise any irrigation or solar proposal.

A short guidance page covers the common recording errors: writing an approximate reading instead of the full figure, omitting short runs, and not noting rainfall - each of which corrupts the average after weeks of work.

It downloads without a form. If a farmer uses it for a year and then goes to another supplier, he holds a number that protects him, and that is an acceptable outcome on its own.
